Lee Johnston was victorious after the first Supersport race of this years North West 200. Alistair Seeley was on course to extend his record number of wins before he ran wide and crashed out at the final corner, allowing the 30 year old Northern Irish man to pip the win.
Dean Harrison came home in a close second, only 0.7 seconds behind the lead, with James Hillier completing the podium.
Local favourite Michael Dunlop came fourth, a whole 25.3 seconds behind first place.
This is Lee Johnston’s first major road race since starting up his own team, Ashcourt Racing, which is exactly what he would have been looking for.
